2014

9m46s Narrative Film.

The story is about a Chinese girl called Ling, who has worked in Los Angeles for a year. She tries to honor her poor parents by gifting them the most elegant and expensive foreign food. But when she finally sees that the thing she went all out to get turns out to be unmanageable for these two old simple people, she realizes that she has always been wrong in understanding the meaning of “the greatest gift”.

I wrote this story as my own homesickness. Hope it resonates with everyone who are far away from their hometown and parents.
